MCC Aquatic Information


UPDATES, POLICIES, AND PROCEDURES.

SHOWER AND CHANGE:

Per State mandate, all swimmers are required to complete a quick rinse before entering the pool. 

PERSONAL ITEMS:

Even though locker rooms and locker are available beginning Monday May 24th. We ask you still come ready for your swim. Bring no personal items except a water bottle, keys, swim cap, goggles, towel, and after swim change of clothes into the facility. We will be opening up more lockers but they will still be limited use. Swimmers are still welcome to bring items onto the deck and request a bin to store their belongings.

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS AVAILABLE?

Use of kick-boards, pool buoys, pool noodles, and aqua belts provided by the Center will be allowed. Ask a lifeguard for desired equipment. Members will be required to disinfect equipment before and after use. Staff will complete additional disinfecting between uses.

CLEANING REQUIREMENTS: 

Aquatic staff will provide additional cleaning between each swimmer use as needed. Rinse and change areas will be cleaned regularly, including use of spray disinfectant three times daily. Mid-morning and mid-afternoon and at close.

Pool Hours

Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.(shutdown for cleaning Mon - Fri:  1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
Saturday, 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Sunday, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Main Pool (80-82 degrees)

Our 6-lane, 25-yard lap pool is available for General Swim, Lap Swim, as well as hosting several aquatic classes and lessons. Click here for the Main Pool Schedule.

Therapy Pool (92-94 degrees)

The Therapy Pool has designated time for specialized classes, therapeutic use, and family swim. This pool provides a warmer more comfortable environment for those with therapeutic needs, such as arthritis, chronic joint pain and fatigue, and individuals needing rehabilitation for injuries. Bicentennial Pond: Closed for the season

See you Summer 2021

Bicentennial Pond will open to public swimming on June 26 with a modification to public swimming times.  Adjusted hours at Bicentennial Pond will not permit public swimming or beach use between 12-3 on weekdays.  This will allow for Camp Mansfield swimming per CT Office of Early Childhood rules under the COVID-19 situation.  

Pond Hours:

Monday - Friday: 3:00 pm-7:00 pm 

S/SN/Holiday, Noon - 6:00 pm

Should a session of Camp Mansfield not operate due to under enrollment, public swimming will be permitted 12-3 pm, Monday-Friday.  Updates will be posted on mansfieldcc.com.
