John E. Jackman Tour de Mansfield
"This was my 9th year riding my annual 40+ miles in the John E. Jackman Tour de Mansfield. Although it was difficult not to be able to share this experience with my closest friends, I still wanted to keep the tradition going. Always a blessing to enjoy the sites and surroundings while on the road. Literally a breath of fresh air! Looking forward to next year!" - Maté M.
"Thank you for the opportunity to ride Mansfield’s countryside once again. I saw in order Morgan’s, Woodchuck, Angus, Hereford’s with calves, Holsteins, Baltimore Oriole, Fox, and a deer which was so motionless I had to look twice. Absolute highlight of my ride were all the flora and fauna." - George Mark W.
"Thanks for keeping the John Jackman ride going" - Don B.
"The special feature of this tour consists of its twisty, up-and-down, and always interesting back-country roads and scenes...I hope to do this together with colleagues next year." - Donald R.

ABOUT JOHN JACKMAN
The Tour is named in honor of former Fire Marshal and Mansfield resident John E. Jackman. John served the Town of Mansfield twenty-seven years, was an avid cyclist, and was instrumental in creating the Tour de Mansfield. He was always pleased to see so many cyclists participate in this event. John's passion for bicycling inspired many to start riding and, through the Thread City Cyclers club, he made many deep and lasting friendships.
John died peacefully at home on August 8, 2013 at the age of 58 after a long battle with cancer. In naming this event in honor of John, we celebrate his contributions to cycling and the Town of Mansfield.
